NEEL HOME

Neel Home is a tropical duplex penthouse atop a residential building in Bangalore's greenest neighbourhood, moving from a formal lower floor to a more informal upper level. A blue staircase ties both levels together like a river running through the home, with white marble flooring downstairs giving way to playful mosaic patterns above. Materials — marble, stone, mosaic — stay refined and understated throughout. The lower level holds living, dining, and bar spaces alongside a bedroom that converts to a private lounge via movable banana-fibre panels, with a blue ceramic jali partition adding privacy near the dining space while framing the owner's Ganesh collection on its far side. A former bedroom was opened up into a vaulted-roof living space built for hosting, while the once-open terrace above now holds a master bedroom and lounge, kept visually light and framed by large glass windows that pull in the sunset and the tropical foliage outside.
