Three volumes in dialogue with the hills.
Set on the sloping hills of Panchalimedu and Peerimade, Sela House links three volumes along a western spine under deep ferrocement roofs, an orientation that plays openness against privacy. Materials stay vernacular: a steel core clad in cement board, pigmented cement floors in Kerala's traditional colours, lime-and-mud walls, laterite rammed-earth along the west, and a slate jali at the entry filtering light through. Built from earth, straw, laterite and stone, Sela House feels like an extension of the hills it sits on.
